WHAT WE DO

 

All families and pets are unique so we customize our care tofit your needs.  We offer visits from 1 to 4 times per day.  We strive to provide everything you need so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

FEES:

 

The starting fee is $16.00 per visit. There may be minor charges added for more than 4 pets, distance travelled over 8 miles from my area, or extra time needed or requested.

The fees for our services include, but are not limited to:

 

Basic Care:  Food, water and potty.

Daily dog walks

Litter box cleaning

Play time

Brushing

Bird, fish, & exotic care

Lots of LovinÕ !

 

  Special Needs:  Medication, fluids, geriatric care, injections

 

 

Pet Taxi:  Trips to the groomer or vet

Light Errands:  Pet food or medication delivery,

Airport Shuttle

 

       Home Care:  Plant watering, mail/newspaper pickup,

 rotation of lights, radios or TVÕs

     We prefer to stay within a 8 mile radius of our home.  Staying close gives us more time with your pets and less time on the road.  We do make exceptions depending on circumstances. If you are not sure, please call. I can often work something out.

Owner: Cathy McDowell

 

I started my pet sitting business in 1998 and I have enjoyed every minute of it!  My clients and their pets are like my extended family.  My great love of ALL animals has influenced my life as long as I can remember.

 

I do most of the pet sitting myself and during busy times my husband, John, works with me.  During holidays I may hire an experienced part time pet sitter to help out as well.

 

 

More about me:

My immediate family includes my husband, John, my two teenagers, Chris and Ian, our menagerie of cats - 5 at this time plus 2 permanent strays - and Kokomo, our parrot. We've lived in Rosedale, in central Austin, for 20 years.

In 1983 I received a B.S. from Texas A&M in biomedical science. For 4 years after moving to Austin, I was employed as a veterinary technician. This experience has been of great help in the pet sitting business. A lot of my clients pets need medication and some need daily or monthly injections, which I can help out with.

 

 

Other Interests: 

 

ANIMAL RESCUE:  I do work including Disaster Rescue, Feral Cat ÒTrap, Neuter, ReleaseÓ, and Wildlife Rescue.

 

ART:  IÕve been an artist all my life and specialize in animal art, including pet portraits, pet photography, pottery, silk painting and more.
